AT EASE ORCHARD
SERVING THOSE THAT SERVED!
The Bees are starting to buzz! This year At Ease Orchard will continue to offer equipment and bees to beginning beekeepers and opportunity to members who lost all of their bees over the winter. We are adding a few new constraints because of the overwhelming requests from last year as well as our own learning points.
Beginning Beekeepers must be enrolled or graduated from beginning beekeeper program such as Heroes to Hive (https://www.miffs.org/heroestohives), The Beekeepers of Indiana Beeschool XXII (https://indianabeekeeper.com/events/indiana_bee_school_xxii) or Mission Beelieve (https://www.missionbeelieve.com/). Other training may be acceptable and confirmed on a case-by-case basis. We have learned education is a key to success and must be tied to the "hive". A beekeeper that does not have an education path to success will not get a hive.
This year hives will come with 2-Deep Supers, 1-Medium Super, Frames, Inner Cover, Top Cover, Bottom Board, Smoker, Hive Tool, and Jacket.
Please complete this "event" announcement to get scheduled. We will reach out to you in early March with more details.
We hope you have been enjoying the newsletter notes, and this year we are setting up to do a virtual beeclub.
