22nd Annual West Virginia Small Farm Conference

Veterans from Indiana and beyond are invited to attend the 22nd Annual West Virginia Small Farm Conference. This event offers practical workshops, networking opportunities, and access to programs designed to support beginning farmers. Scholarships are available making it a great opportunity for those looking to expand their farming skills and knowledge.

Conference Highlights:

• Friday Night Mixer & Nonprofit Roundtable – Meet fellow veteran farmers and nonprofit partners.

• AgrAbility Information Sessions – Learn about programs and resources available to veteran and beginning farmers.

• Winter Blues Farmers Market (Feb 28, 12–5 PM) – Explore local West Virginia products, including vegetables, meats, maple syrup, and more. Free and open to the public.

• Workshops & Education – Sessions focused on farm production, local marketing, and building a successful small farm operation.

Goals of the Conference:

• Support small farms transitioning from commodity production to local food production.

• Provide reliable, tested knowledge on current trends, skills, and farm operations.

• Strengthen local food systems by encouraging production, processing, and marketing in West Virginia communities.
